Tess Croker

Provisional Psychologist

Hi, my name is Tess and I am a provisional psychologist. I bring eight years’ experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in the disability sector, alongside a background in research across university and not-for-profit settings, aimed at supporting neurodivergent and gender diverse individuals and their families.

I have completed placements as a provisional psychologist in education across both the Goldfields and Perth metropolitan regions, where I supported children and adolescents through assessment, intervention and school-based consultation.

I have a particular interest in supporting autistic and ADHD individuals, as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, and social or school-related challenges.

My approach is neurodiversity affirming, strengths-based and trauma-informed, grounded in the social model of disability. Curiosity and collaboration are very important to me, and I aim to understand your unique needs and preferences rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

I love to unpack the reasons why we think and do what we do, with grace and self-compassion, and to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself. Whether that means sitting cross-legged (or on the floor!), using movement, sensory tools, or bringing your interests into sessions, I would love to work together in ways that feel supportive and authentic for you.

When I’m not at work, you’ll probably find me deep-diving into a new interest, tending to my plants and pet shrimp, or playing a video game (Stardew Valley, Minecraft and city simulations are some favourites). I am also a big Pokémon fan and enjoy watching anime and TV shows, or practising piano and singing.
