Sam Lock

Registered Psychologist
North Perth

I am a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Psychology (Professional) and experience in the mental health sector, predominantly working in private practice supporting youth mental health. I am dedicated to supporting children and adolescents with a range of presenting issues and am particularly passionate about working with Autistic and ADHD individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

In my practice, my number one priority is making sure my clients, and their families feel safe, respected, and supported. No matter what brings a client to see me, whether it’s life transitions, school difficulties, relationship challenges, stress, burnout, anxiety, low mood, or identity exploration, I believe in taking the time to build trust, and a solid therapeutic relationship, as this is where all the best interventions start. I draw from modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in collaboration with my clients so that they may build on their unique strengths and reach the goals that are important to them.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time going on crafting side quests, playing video games, spoiling my dog, and spending time with family and friends.
