Morgan Bishop
Clinical Psychologist
Hi, I'm Morgan (she/her). I prioritise listening and working collaboratively with people, seeking to create a shared understanding from which we can work together.
I present authentically and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. Having personal and lived experience, I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and welcome the opportunity to work with trans people in a therapeutic context.
I have experience in varied roles in hospital, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), counselling and private practice settings. I like working with children (age 6+), teens, adults and families to work towards meeting their needs. I am a member of the Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH).
I work with issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, sleep disturbance, persistent pain, neurodiversity, gender diversity and sexuality. I have experience working with people who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries. I utilise Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-Based Strategies (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies and behavioural interventions to help you work towards your goals.
