The Kidd Clinic is currently taking expressions of interest for the role of:
Clinical Team Lead
(Psychologist - Full Time or Part Time)
We’re looking for a Clinical Team Lead who cares deeply about both people and practice.
This is a role for someone who enjoys supporting clinicians to do their best work, while also helping a service run in a way that is thoughtful, sustainable, and well-structured.
The Role
You’ll support our Clinical Operations Lead and work alongside our two existing Clinical Leads across our established bi-coastal service (Fremantle, North Perth, and Mentone in Melbourne), contributing to the day-to-day functioning of the clinic and supporting a team of psychologists and an occupational therapist.
This is a 50/50 role, balancing meaningful clinical work with leadership and team support. It suits a senior clinician who enjoys direct client work but is also ready to dedicate meaningful time to leadership, supervision, and shaping service delivery beyond their own caseload.
Within this role you will:
Contribute to building and maintaining referral pathways and community relationships, including being visible in the community and supporting the clinic’s reputation and presence in the field
Support clinicians through supervision, feedback, and day-to-day guidance
Contribute to a team culture that values reflection, psychological safety, and accountability
Be part of recruitment and onboarding, helping shape how new team members settle and grow
Navigate the more complex parts of leadership, including performance conversations, in a way that is clear, respectful, and grounded
Maintain oversight of day-to-day operations, supporting clinicians to hold full and sustainable caseloads, contributing to referral flow, and helping the service run smoothly
Work as a bridge between the clinical team and operational leadership
Your clinical work will include:
Assessments and/or therapy, with the majority of your caseload being neurodivergent clients across the lifespan (with scope to develop a particular niche or age group)
Working from a neurodiversity-affirming framework
Supporting a range of presentations with care and flexibility
Modelling a high standard of clinical practice, ethical decision-making, and professional conduct
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Is a Board Approved Supervisor
Brings experience in leadership, including supporting clinician development over time
Can offer clear, thoughtful feedback, even when conversations are challenging
Values both clinical integrity and the realities of running a service
Has experience working with Autistic clients
Is interested in supporting and developing a diverse team of clinicians, including neurodivergent team members
Is comfortable representing the clinic externally through networking, training, or community engagement, to help build reputation and referral pathways
Is this role for you?
This is a busy and varied role, with scope to contribute to service development, team growth, and the ongoing evolution of the clinic.
If you’re looking for a leadership position where you can support clinicians, contribute to meaningful work, and be part of a collaborative, authentic team that also enjoys a bit of fun, we’d love to hear from you.
Location: Our Fremantle clinic (with potential opportunity to work at North Perth as required)
